Nakuru Akizuki (秋月 奈久留, Akizuki Nakuru) is a fictional character in CLAMP's manga and anime adaptation Cardcaptor Sakura. She is the temporary form of Ruby Moon, one of Eriol Hiiragizawa's guardians.

In the anime, she is voiced by Ryoka Yuzuki. In the English adaptation, she is voiced by Sarah LeFleur.

Sakura Card Arc

Like Yue, Ruby Moon has magical abilities related to the Moon.

When Eriol Hiiragizawa transfers to Tomoeda Elementary, Nakuru Akizuki enrolls at Seijou High School: the same school that Touya Kinomoto and Yukito Tsukishiro attend. Once there, she is a general nuisance to Touya. She constantly interrupts Touya when he is trying to tell Yukito something important. She also taunts Yukito when Touya is not around. In particular, she remarks that, "older models can never compete with the new."

She is a very skilled jumper as she jumps everywhere. (Jumping from tall buildings, long distances, etc.)

Nakuru is able to sense that Yue's magical energy is rapidly running out, and that Touya's magical energy is the key to renewing it. She plans to take that energy for herself which would render Touya powerless and result in Yue's destruction. However, her efforts in that direction prove futile, and Touya eventually hands his power over to Yue. After that, Nakuru leaves Touya alone and focuses on helping Eriol.

Clear Card Arc

Nakuru appears concerned about what happens, but she is initially unable to do anything to help. She is genuinely worried about Sakura.

Later, both Nakuru and Spinel are sent by Eriol to Tomoeda. They stay at Yukito's house since Cerberus and Yue experience a lack of magical power due to the departure of the Sakura Cards and the power that Sakura expended creating the Clear Cards. By staying close to them, Nakuru and Spinel can share Eriol's magical power with them while they figure out how to deal with Kaito.

Touya Kinomoto

Constantly annoyed by her active interest in him, which takes the form of aggressive displays of affection. On one occasion, she jumped from the second story window to the ground floor where Touya was and landed on him to give him chocolates. In fact, Touya has to physically shove her through the open door and slam it shut in order to give his powers to Yue after he finally had enough of her interruptions. Despite the fact that her primary objective was to prevent Touya from giving his powers to Yukito, it is implied in the manga that Nakuru at least felt feelings of friendship towards Touya, possibly even a small amount of romantic feelings as well.

Spinel Sun

Nakuru has a somewhat friendly relationship with Eriol's other guardian, Spinel. She teases him constantly and gives him a nickname, which he detests, while he makes snide remarks about her gender. Despite this, they still get along at most other times.

Eriol Hiiragizawa

Just as Yue was to Clow, Nakuru is fiercely loyal to her master; obeying his mysterious orders and taking care of him.
