"Sakura, Syaoran, and the Sea of Sand" (さくらと小狼(シャオラン)と砂(すな)の海(うみ), Sakura to Syaoran to Suna no Umi?) is the 6th episode of the second season of Cardcaptor Sakura (anime). The Cardcaptors title for this episode is "The Sands of Time".

Summary

Sakura's class is starting to pick a play for the arts festival coming up and their play is Sleeping Beauty. Ms. Mizuki picks the roles and Sakura is the Prince and Syaoran is the Princess. The two of them are nervous about playing the lead roles, and the roles opposite from each other. Tomoyo decides that she wants to make the costumes, especially Sakura's. While outside at recess, Sakura asks Syaoran if they want to practice together so they decide to practice the next day, before school. While they're practicing, they are attacked by the Sand Card which threatens to trap them under sand. Sakura, with the help of Syaoran, manages to capture it. The card goes to both of them, but Sakura gives it to Syaoran to make them even.
