Shouko Tsujitani (辻谷 彰子 Tsujitani Shouko) is a minor supporting character in the Cardcaptor Sakura anime and manga series. She is Tomoeda Elementary's music teacher, as well as the choir pianist.


Shouko presents as a young woman with medium-brown hair that is usually kept in a loose bun with thinned bangs that hangs over her forehead and a similar shade of brown eyes.

She is a thin woman of average build, usually seen wearing a blazer and pencil skirt, as well as flats on her feet.


Shouko is a gentle and softspoken woman who is encouraging to students.


Shouko first appears in Episode 5 where she is seen from behind, playing the piano while Tomoyo Daidouji is singing.

She is later scene in Episode 12 when Sakura Kinomoto's class was tasked with a recorder test, which Sakura become nervous about, and the episode revolves around the day being repeated due to The Time card. Sakura is forced to partake in redoing the recorder test until she catches the Time card. During this time, Shouko, and everyone else without magical powers, is oblivious to The Time's effects.

Shouko appears in later episodes, usually when the story follows Tomoyo and her singing.


  • The name Shouko means "clear" (彰) (shou) and "child" (子) (ko).
  • Shouko's surname Tsujitani means "street" (辻) (tsuji) and "valley" (谷) (tani).
