The Sand is a Clow Card with the power to control and manipulate sand. It is aligned under The Earthy.

It is one of the fifty-three Clow Cards in the anime.

Appearance[]

One of Sand's visible forms is a flow of sand that moves vaguely like a serpent.

Its card form, never seen as a visible spirit, depicts a woman with elbow-length hair that seems to be in braids, dressed in Arabic clothes (harem pants, crop top, sleeves and shoes) and is seemingly made of sand. Covering her ears are what appear to be circular disks, and an oval, red gem featured prominently on her forehead.

Magic and Abilities[]

Sand Magic: Sand has the ability to control and manipulate sand and can even transform other types of dirt into sand for her to control.

Fortune Telling: All Clow Cards have the ability to help their user predict the future. Their method of fortune-telling is similar to that of tarot cards. The interpretation of the message the Clow Cards relay depends on the magical power of the user.

Synopsis[]

In Episode 41, Sakura and Syaoran captured Sand in a joint effort using both Watery to wet the sand and Freeze to solidify and immobilize it. As a result, Sand hovers between Sakura and Syaoran after capture, open to either captor as its master. They both reach for the card, but Sakura kindly lets Syaoran keep it.

Transformation[]

Sand is transformed in Episode 53 during Sakura's frantic wave of transformations.
