Yukie Kimura (木村 ゆき絵, Kimura Yukie) is a supporting character in the Cardcaptor Sakura manga and anime series. She is Tomoeda Elementary School's home economics teacher, as well as the cheerleading coach.

Appearance[]

Manga Appearance[]

Yukie's appearance in the manga is slightly different to that of the anime. She is portrayed as a young-woman with a slim-build. Her hair is short with a slight curve or curl that reaches close to her cheeks. Her bangs are parted in the middle of her forehead.

Anime Appearance[]

In the Cardcaptor Sakura anime, her hair is shortened, and more curled; Barely reaching her eyebrows.

She has a young, natural face with dark red-brown eyes.

Yukie is most often seen wearing a plain-white T-shirt and gym shorts.

Etymology[]

  • The third character of her given name Yukie (ゆき絵) means "picture" (絵). Depending on how it's written, "yuki" (ゆき) can mean any of the following:
    • Written as 雪, it means "snow."
    • Written as 行, it means "journey."
  • Her surname Kimura means "tree, wood" (木) (ki) and "town, village" (村) (mura).
    • In the Nelvana English adaptation, Cardcaptors, she is renamed as "Mrs. Moore".
